How to adjust safe senders and/or blocked senders

Users may sometimes experience that they are not receiving emails from certain users, especially if they are external email address. By reviewing any possible email addresses that may be under safe/blocked sender can help verify that it is not a user setting that is preventing emails from being received.

If there is an email address under blocked senders and this sender is verified a legitimate sender, remove that email address and add them to the safe senders.

If there is a particular email address that is exhibiting spam/phishing characteristics, that email address can be added to the blocked senders list and the email itself should be reported to itscybersecurity@cobleskill.edu by either forwarding the email or reporting it as phishing/spam.

Use the following instructions below on how to adjust safe senders and/or blocked senders

Note: Currently, the only method to adjust these settings would be to visit webmail.cobleskill.edu

1. Navigate to webmail.cobleskill.edu

2. Once logged in, on the top right, you should see icons that line up from left to right, one of them should look like a gear icon

3. Click on the gear icon and a panel from the right should appear with a search box at the top of that panel.
