When first logging in to Moodle you will want to create a user profile, this provides everyone with information about you. To edit your profile, begin by selecting your name at the top right corner of Moodle, then select "Profile".
User Details
Under Profile, you will need to select "Edit Profile" under User Details.
Under Description you can add information about yourself for your students to read and get a better understanding of their instructor.
User picture is used for instructors to upload an image of themselves. We encourage online instructors to use this, so their students know who they are.
Preferences
Located in your Breadcrumbs you will see "Preferences" select this to make changes to your notifications, roles, and more.
The User Account section allows you to make changes to your preferences. Forum preferences are good to use if you have forum discussions in your course and you don't want to be bombarded with notifications every time a student makes a new discussion or replies to discussions. You can customize notifications, so you don't have to turn them off completely, but you can control different notifications.
Course Details
Under your profile you can also view your courses and have easy access to the ones that you are listed in as instructor.
