Your SUNY Cobleskill Network Account grants you access to your e-mail services, on campus Internet services from your personally owned computer, access to network resources and the use of campus workstations in our labs and Library. You can help keep your network account and computer secure by changing your password regularly and by using a strong password or pass phrase.

To ensure the security of your account SUNY Cobleskill has implemented the following password criteria for all network accounts.
Account Password: MUST have at least 8 characters but no more than 18
AND MUST include 3 of 4 criteria

Change Your SUNY Cobleskill Network Account Password Online
You can change your password from any machine with Internet access on or off campus
Change Your SUNY Cobleskill Network Account Password from a Computer Lab
· Log onto any Campus Networked Computer
· Press Ctrl | Alt | Delete to open the Windows Security dialog box.
· Click Change Password. User Name: YourUserName
Old Password: Type your old password then hit Tab ®|
New Password: Type your new password then hit Tab ®|
Confirm New Password: Type new password again then hit Enter ¿ or click OK
· The Change Password box will confirm that your password has been changed. Click OK to continue.
· Click CANCEL to return to windows.
Tips for Creating Strong Passwords and Pass phrases
