How to Disable Randomized Hardware Addressing

Summary

How to turn off your device's random MAC address setting.

Body

iOS

1.       Open the Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, then tap Wi-Fi or WLAN.

2.       Tap the information button next to a Cobleskill network

3.       Turn off Private Address.

4.       Re-join the network.

5.       Do this for ALL Cobleskill networks

 

Android

1.       Open the Settings.

2.       Tap Network & Internet -> Wi-Fi.

3.       Tap the gear icon next to a Cobleskill network

4.       Tap Advanced.

5.       Tap Privacy

6.       Use "Device Mac"

7.       Re-join the network.

8.       Do this for ALL Cobleskill networks

 

Windows

1.       Select the Start button, then select Settings  > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi  > Manage known networks.

2.       Choose a Cobleskill network, then select Properties, Turn off Use random hardware addresses for this network.

3.       Re-join the network.

4.       Do this for ALL Cobleskill networks

 

*Apple Brand Laptops do not support Randomized Mac Addresses*
