SUNY Cobleskill's Network infrastructure is currently under the scope of and protected by our campus firewall, this monitors all network traffic that comes in and out of SUNY Cobleskill and determines where traffic goes based on rules and policies configured. Occasionally, there rules not configured direct specific traffic to where it needs to go and is implicitly denied to prevent unknown, unclassified, and sometimes malicious traffic from entering our network, due to this configuration, some legitimate traffic may be blocked.
What does this mean for Video Games?
Because video games and the devices that run these video games tend to operate on a variety of communication protocols, that is different from the standard protocols used in a normal office work space, there is a high chance that those games may not work.
